I normally am the first person to look forward to autumn but somehow this year, I can’t believe it’s here. I’m living in a weird limbo right now. Anyhow, I thought I might bring to you a bit of autumn edit that’s very simple to achieve when all you want to do in the morning is wrap yourself in the cosiest throw of life and keep on dreaming. I feel like there is this weird thing about beauty blogging that makes you fall in love with neutral makeup. Or maybe it’s just the 90s trend but I have fallen for it. I find it sort of hard to believe that I thought brown eyeshadows, bronzer and dark nude lipsticks didn’t suit me. Now, I go to the Mac counter, apply Honeylove and it’s like I was born to wear this colour.
But it’s actually a real story. Sadly, Honeylove was sold out but I did initially only ran out to get Groundwork right after both Anna and Tamira mentioned it in their July Favourites. Things have got a little bit mixed up with scheduling last month. There is no point denying that I have a thing about high-end makeup. The quality’s better, the selection’s better, the feel is more satisfying. While I used to just stock up at the Chanel counter in the past, I’m slowly venturing into all the other brands (although that might change because their Les Automnales collection is to die for!) Anyway, I figured I’d put together a post that would include my very top five products that are just irreplaceable in my collection. Continue reading “Beauty Products Worth Splurging On”
One advice I would give anyone who’s just getting into makeup: invest in the brushes. They make all the difference in how your products perform. Having said that, I didn’t quite appreciate them for a while and ended up buying a few useless ones. I think it’s because they just don’t look as exciting as a new lipstick or blusher but does it work out in the long term. Continue reading “Face Makeup Brushes Must-Haves”
