While the previous tutorial I showed you included a dark lip, it was not the classic red black shade and we all know I can’t get very far in that department without mentioning the Chanel Rouge Noir. Now, I hope you’re all aware that Chanel is launching a Rouge Noir Absolument collection which reminds me why I fell for Chanel makeup in the first place but before I get my hands on that, it’s the lipstick for now. It’s no secret I am utterly obsessed with the reddish brown from the Nars Dolomites palette and I swear I’m about to hit pan so in desperation I’m considering Anastasia eyeshadows order. I mean, Red Earth and Morocco are to die for but onto the tutorial… I thought I’d share with you my take on the grunge makeup.
I normally am the first person to look forward to autumn but somehow this year, I can’t believe it’s here. I’m living in a weird limbo right now. I feel like there is this weird thing about beauty blogging that makes you fall in love with neutral makeup. Or maybe it’s just the 90s trend but I have fallen for it. I find it sort of hard to believe that I thought brown eyeshadows, bronzer and dark nude lipsticks didn’t suit me. Now, I go to the Mac counter, apply Honeylove and it’s like I was born to wear this colour.
But it’s actually a real story. Sadly, Honeylove was sold out but I did initially only ran out to get Groundwork right after both Anna and Tamira mentioned it in their July Favourites. It’s just the most beautiful warm medium brown shade. And it’s matte. I feel like it might even be very similar to Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes in Taupe, not as long-wearing though.
